Project Story
In 2018, my daughter’s dance studio, Denise Gucwa’s School of Dance, was invited to perform in Dance the World, a showcase event held at Walt Disney World, featuring a performance on Main Street, U.S.A. To commemorate the experience, I offered to produce a highlight video for the studio, which was later shared on their website and distributed to participating families.
I collected a mix of parent-recorded video clips and still images, editing the footage in Adobe Premiere Pro. Vertical video segments from Epcot were reframed with a soft-focus, zoomed background image to maintain visual consistency and avoid the appearance of pillar boxing. Photos were retouched in Photoshop, and a custom end credits sequence was created using an Envato Elements template, paired with Disney-inspired typography. The lower thirds were adapted from Adobe Stock assets and themed to complement the performance’s style.
This project served as both a keepsake and promotional piece for the studio, celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the dancers and their families.
